My first blog.....

I actually have become one of those people I used to make fun of....Bloggers!  I was surfing the net one night and came across a story about bloggers.com and thought to myself ....if people will actually follow that jackass Perez Hilton then I'm sure I could entertain at least a couple of people with my ramblings.  I have so many opinions on so many topics that I felt it would be worth 15 minutes of my time every week or so to share those on here.  A little about myself (just in case someone besides a friend or relative actually reads this), I am 38 years old, I am married ( to my wonderful wife Robin) with no kids (although I do have an adorable Shih tzu named Shelby), and I live in the Greater Cincinnati area.  I would consider myself to be 70% Geek and 30% Jock.  I guess you could call me a Jeek.( I beat myself up in high school).  The geek side of me still collects action figures, gets into fights with 12 year olds online playing Call of Duty, and I still get goosebumps every time I watch Superman crush Zod's fingers in Superman II.  I am pretty confident that I will never lose that side of me.  The other side of me still religiously sits in front of the TV on Sundays in the fall watching the NFL from 11 am to 11pm.  I have multiple terrible fantasy football teams this year.  I am also a die hard L.A. Lakers fan.  I've been a fan of the Lakers since the early 80s during the Magic Johnson showtime years.  If I had to pick one thing that I love the most though, it would have to be movies.  I am a product of the 80s, so of course the big influences on me were Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Back to the Future etc. I am a huge fan of the Action Genre, a genre that is pretty much dead now a days.  Willis, Schwarzenegger,Stallone, Seagal, Van damme......The 80's brought so many classics. I imagine that the majority of the blogs that I will write will be about the Entertainment Business in some fashion.  I occasionally will get a bug up my ass and write about politics or world events but I will be honest....that crap depresses me.  I think its important to be knowledgeable about current events but Im not sure I want to go all political.  I'd rather talk about how Jay Leno is the anti Christ and should burn in hell....Well maybe I will keep that to myself.    Anyway I hope whoever reads this gets something out of it.  Feel free to comment on any of my writing. I am a very opinionated guy so I'm sure some of my opinions will provoke a debate so feel free to tell me im full of shit.  I've got thick skin so bring it.
