Conan O'brien is coming back but will he be successful?

I'm a huge Conan O'brien fan. I really enjoyed his brand of humor and was really upset when NBC fired him and rehired that jackass Jay Leno. Leno who has never been funny to me, failed miserably in his 10pm slot and used that failure to catapult himself back in the tonight show gig. I think the thing that bothers me is that why would you take a job from someone who hasn't had time to build an audience. What cracks me up is one of the main reasons for Conans poor rating can be tied to a terrible Jay Leno show preceding it. NBC panics and pulls the plug immediately. Conan loses his dream job just like that because of one self centered ass and a poorly run network who doesn't have the balls to just stick with their decision. Has Jay delivered on better ratings?......Nope! He screwed Dave Letterman and now he has screwed Conan. The sad thing is that I expect the new Conan show that is scheduled to come out in November to probably struggle. They have already announced that Max Weinberg will not be the band leader and who knows what they were allowed to bring over from NBC. I truly believe that he will still be funny but the show will not be the same. The truth is he is probably better suited for the 1230 timeslot that he held for so many years. I believe that was the main problem with the Conan led tonight show. The tonight show has been a staple with American television for over 30 years and I truly believe the base audience are older and not used to the goofiness that Conan put out there every night. Jay was the safe choice for the network. He is boring and doesn't take any chances. I feel that the majority of Jays fans were Carson fans and have just stuck with Jay because he was "appointed" as the successor to Johnny. From what Ive heard is that Jay had a hand in Johnny leaving too. All I know is that I haven't watched Jay once since he took over again....actually ive just stuck with Jon Stewert and Colbert for my late night tv. I am looking forward to the return of CoCo and hope he can take even more viewers from Jay. O'brien deserves a shot at the 11 o'clock hour and I'm sure he will make the most of it. Watch TBS!!
